Nathra Verdaine is one of the original three Guardians of Life (Nathrae), in charge of plants and forests. She is the source of the Druid potion art, and knows every magic ingredient in Nature, for good or evil sake, and is the mother essence of the Goddess of Spring, Rhiannon the Fair.
She was fooled by Morgana to meet for an agreement about wood usage, and the Gravebane shot her a deadly cursed and poisoned arrow, which misshaped her into a dying small basilisk. Archmage Merlin had to struggle to save her life, and he made it, but she lost her divine shape forever, becoming a mighty Green Dragon instead.
She kept her wisdom and a good part of her healing abilities, gaining the size, strength and power of a legendary Dragon. But she would never be the same again...
